Add your company to Wikidata
Wikidata is a primary source of facts about entities.
Why it matters
Wikidata is an open factual database that many AI engines build their entity understanding on. A correct Wikidata item gives the engine reliable base facts about your company.
How to do it
- 1Create a free account at wikidata.org.
- 2Check whether your company already exists — search the name first.
- 3Create a new item with name, description, website, founding year and headquarters.
- 4Cite a reliable source (your CVR record or your website) for each fact.
Common questions
Can any company get onto Wikidata?
Wikidata requires that facts can be verified against sources. A company with a CVR number and a website can usually be added, provided the facts are sourced.
Is this the same as Wikipedia?
No. Wikidata is a factual database and is easier to get into; Wikipedia is articles, with a higher bar. Start with Wikidata.
