Add FAQ markup (FAQPage)
Hand the AI engines ready-made questions and answers they can quote.
Why it matters
AI answers are usually question-and-answer shaped. If you publish an FAQ with FAQPage markup, you're serving the engine your answers in exactly the format it works in — which makes you far easier to quote directly.
How to do it
- 1Write 4–8 real questions your customers ask, with short, concrete answers.
- 2Put them on a relevant page (your front page or a service page).
- 3Add FAQPage markup (JSON-LD) containing each question and answer.
- 4Keep the answers short and factual — not sales copy.
Common questions
How many questions do I need?
Four to eight good ones is plenty. Quality beats volume: write the questions customers actually ask, and answer them honestly.
Can the answer be long?
Keep it to one to three sentences. An engine quotes a clear, self-contained answer far more readily than a long one.
