Give your most important pages more substance
Thin pages give the AI engines too little to work from.
Why it matters
If a page carries only a few lines of text, the engine has almost nothing to extract facts from — so it skips you in favour of a competitor who explains more. Depth beats an empty page.
How to do it
- 1Identify your most important pages (your front page, and the services you want to be found for).
- 2Go deeper: who is the service for, what's included, how does it work, what does it typically cost.
- 3Answer the questions customers actually have, in plain language.
- 4Skip the empty buzzwords — concrete facts are easier to quote.
Common questions
How much text is enough?
There's no fixed threshold — but a page should be able to answer the main questions a customer has. Write for the person, not for a word count.
